Even though a loss at Harvard (8-1, 5-1 Ivy) last weekend has mathematically eliminated Penn football (6-3, 3-3) from Ivy League title contention, the Quakers still have one game left. This is not just any game, though. Penn's 2023 finale is against the team's biggest rival: Princeton (4-5, 3-3). After defending home field last week against Cornell, Penn football (6-2, 3-2 Ivy) will be hitting the road one last time this season, this time going north to Cambridge, Mass. and taking on conference-leading Harvard (7-1, 4-1), with a share of first place in the Ivy League on the line. The Crimson are currently ranked 19th in the FCS Coaches Poll. Ahead of this crucial test, members of The Daily Pennsylvanian's Sports Department make their picks for this critical battle.

Last week, Penn football faced its first setback of the season, as it fell to Dartmouth in overtime, 23-20, after trailing for much of the contest. This week, though, it has a chance to bounce back, as the Quakers (2-1, 0-1 Ivy) will play Georgetown (3-2) in their final non-conference game of 2023. After the National Labor Relations Board ruled in August that resident advisors are employees of the University and therefore have a right to vote for a union, we felt validated — and knew it was time to organize leading up to the election. Connecting with our coworkers. Calling. Texting. Engaging in conversations over lunch or coffee. Educating our co-workers about their rights, calming concerns of retaliation, or that a union could lead to a loss of benefits (rumors and false concerns perpetuated by anti-union sentiments). To unionize is our right.







Penn Relays 2023 live coverage: Day Three

After a packed first two days of the 127th running of Penn Relays, the stage is set at Franklin Field for a final day that is sure to excite. WIth plenty of championships in a wide variety of events, plus several highly-anticipated Olympic Development events, there’s going to be a lot of action throughout today. A slight drizzle is still falling from yesterday, but that isn’t deterring the athletes or the spectators gathered here.
