Student with perfect ACT can't get into Ivy League schools

We detailed for you a couple weeks ago how Asian-American students were at a disadvantage when applying to top schools. And for Michael Wang, that is a cold reality.

Wang applied to Stanford and every Ivy League school other than Penn in 2013. According to a Business Insider article, Wang had a perfect ACT and 13 AP credits along with a 2230 SAT score and 4.67 weighted GPA. 

But Wang was unable to get into Stanford. Or Harvard. Or Princeton. Or any of the other Ivy League schools he applied to. 

Wang now attends Williams but after his admissions results, he filed a complaint against Yale, Princeton and Stanford with the US Department of Education for alleged discrimination due to his race. 

"I think I deserve better than what I got," he said to Business Insider.
