Theft

Dec. 22 - A projector and electrical equipment, valued at about $800, were removed from an unlocked room at David Rittenhouse Laboratory at about 10 a.m.

Dec. 28 - A complainant unaffiliated with the University reported that 150 bricks were removed from outside of a construction site in the 3900 block of Delancey Street.

Dec. 29 - A complainant unaffiliated with the University reported that the lock on the passenger-side door of his vehicle was broken and the stereo and other electronic items, valued at about $1,100, were stolen. The incident occurred at the 3900 block of Baltimore Ave.

Dec. 30 - Kenneth Kean, 48, was arrested when a complainant unaffiliated with the University reported that the suspect stole six cases of Red Bull from the Fresh Grocer, located at 40th and Walnut streets, at 2:25 p.m.

Dec. 30 - Lester Williams, 47, was arrested when a complainant unaffiliated with the University allegedly observed him shutting the door to the complainant's vehicle while wearing the complainant's coat. Williams was apprehended near the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, located at 34th Street and Civic Center Boulevard.

Jan. 2 - A victim unaffiliated with the University reported that the stereo was removed from his vehicle parked in a garage at 34th and Chestnut streets.

Jan. 2 - Timothy Casey, age not given, was arrested when he allegedly removed textbooks from shelves at the Penn Bookstore and attempted to sell the books back to the store in exchange for money at about 3:45 p.m.

Jan. 3 - Divine Amenra, 25, was arrested while allegedly removing prices and security tags from clothing at Urban Outfitters at 5:25 p.m.

Jan. 3 - A student reported that, while he was studying abroad in fall 2006, his residence in the 4000 block of Chancellor Street was entered and various pieces of furniture, valued at about $2,700, were removed.

Robbery

Dec. 26 - A victim unaffiliated with the University reported that he was robbed by four males who took his bag, which contained a computer and other digital equipment, while waiting for the subway at the 3400 block of Market Street.

Dec. 30 - Lamont Collins, 43, was arrested when he fought with security after they allegedly stopped him from walking out of the Fresh Grocer, located at 40th and Walnut streets, without paying.

Burglary

Dec. 26 - A victim unaffiliated with the University reported that a construction site in the 3900 block of Delancey Street was forcefully entered at an unfinished doorway and numerous copper and brass fittings and valves were removed.
