The Daily Pennsylvanian spoke with students who said the switch from air conditioning to heating in on-campus residential buildings has made their dorms too warm and uncomfortable to stay in. 

As the inaugural vice provost for climate science, policy, and action, Mann will lead institutional efforts to support sustainability, draw from Penn’s academic strengths in the sciences and public policy, and advance scholarship and training.

College and Wharton juniors Aravind Krishnan and Tej Patel are among the 60 Truman Scholars selected this year from a pool of 709 candidates nominated by 285 institutions.

The group consists of eight faculty members across Penn's schools and is chaired by Deputy Dean, professor of Education, and Board of Advisors Chair of Education Matthew Hartley.
