Impressionist cupcakes and 60 sec. lectures at College Palooza

Which Greek god sprang from the head of Zeus? Who makes more money, MBAs or geologists? These are not the typical questions asked of Penn students, but during yesterday's College Palooza on the Green, visitors were quizzed with such trivia. If you're curious - the answers are Athena and geologists, respectively.


A more interactive artistic experience

Yale University is home to the oldest college art gallery in the United States, with over 185,000 pieces from all over the world, ancient and modern alike. But until recently, it didn't receive much foot traffic. As the Deputy Director for Programs and External Affairs and Curator of Artist Initiatives and Special Projects at the Yale Art Gallery, Anna Hammond is largely responsible for increasing the collection's visibility among students.


Creating video games - in class

Video games and homework aren't always mutually exclusive. One-hundred-fifty students at the University of Southern California's Viterbi School of Engineering took an innovative new class on video games this semester, playing them on various consoles designed to provide students with a technical and historical foundation for games.

The Supreme Court has the constitutional right to declare the "supreme law of the land," so the appointment of justices is a crucial aspect of the American judicial system. However, according to Princeton provost Christopher Eisgruber, the current system is subpar and in dire need of reform.

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as a capstone to Greek Week, the Panhellenic Council sponsored the seventh annual Rena Rowan Ribbon Run yesterday. The run was a 5K route around campus that kicked off on a crisp afternoon at the Compass at 37th and Locust streets.
