Basketball is finally back for the Red and Blue. Penn men’s basketball enters the season fourth in preseason polls in the Ivy League while the women will start ranked second in the conference. Here are five of the biggest games of the season. 

All three of Penn's rowing teams spent this past weekend in Boston in order to compete in the famed Head of the Charles Regatta. Over 11,000 rowers traveled to compete in the three-mile course in the regatta's return, after last year's cancellation.

On Oct. 5th, Penn released a statement announcing Kendall Grasela, former starting point guard for Penn women's basketball, as an assistant coach.  

The Red and Blue (6-6, 3-2 Ivy) hosted its annual Pink Game on Saturday for Breast Cancer Awareness, emerging victorious against the visiting Yale Bulldogs (6-8, 2-3). This game had a special meaning to the team following volunteer assistant coach Gretta Ehret’s diagnosis with stage IV metastatic breast cancer in August, 2019.

This past weekend, all three of Penn’s rowing teams traveled to Boston to race in the world-renowned Head of the Charles Regatta. After last year’s cancellation of the regatta due to COVID-19, more than 11,000 rowers across the world returned to compete in the three-mile Charles River course for titles in 65 events. 

The Daily Pennsylvanian asked Ben Stitz of Penn men's soccer 15 questions about his sport, his time at Penn, and what he’s learned as a Penn student-athlete. Here’s what the senior had to say. 

This past Sunday, the Quakers were looking for their first win against a nationally ranked team this season. Penn battled it out against the Blue Hens until the very end. Unfortunately, the Quakers fell short and lost by a score of 1-0.

In a 4-0 win against Yale, the Quakers extend their spotless home record to 9-0-0.

After gaining momentum in the third and fourth sets, the Quakers had a legitimate shot to win the match, but came up short after losing the last three points of the game.

Neither Penn nor Yale could do it on a cold, rainy night in Philadelphia as they played to a scoreless tie in a tensely-battled 110 minutes.

While most students were trying to relax and enjoy their fall break this past weekend, Penn men’s and women’s tennis were hard at work in the ITA Northeast Regional Championships.

Another Tuesday night at Rhodes Field presented another battle for the rights to the city, as Penn men’s soccer hosted Temple — one week after Penn’s win against Drexel at home.

A key player this weekend in both games for Penn women's soccer was freshman forward Isobel Glass. 

In a successful weekend for Penn women’s soccer, the team took down Dartmouth 3-1 on Saturday and Delaware State 4-0 on Monday. 

The Quakers had been the losers of three straight against Princeton, Syracuse, and Harvard before picking up a win at home against Cornell last week, and they kept their momentum going in the Ocean State.
