After a historic winter indoor season, Penn men’s and women’s track will look to carry the success over to the outdoor season this spring. With the women coming in first for the first time since 1996 at the Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships, and the men’s second place finish marking their best since 2002 at the Heps, the team’s goals this season are set higher than ever.

Still only a sophomore, Clarke owns the best indoor pole vault in Penn history (5.30 meters) and the second best outdoor pole vault in Penn history (5.35 m).

Penn women’s track and field returned to the Ivy League throne on Sunday after a 22-year drought, winning the Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships to end the indoor track and field season. The men made history of their own, posting a momentous second-place finish, their highest since 2002.

On Thursday, Penn track and field heads to Lexington, KY to compete in their season-ending NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The Red and Blue enter the NCAA East Preliminary Round in almost too-fitting fashion, sending a record 25 team members across both teams.
