In its first away match of the season, Penn edged out the Midshipmen, 4-3, to give the Quakers their 11th consecutive victory over Navy.

After a challenging four game West Coast road swing, during which the Quakers (9-2) finished 2-2, they are back at home and will take on a middle of the pack George Washington (2-6) squad this afternoon.

The Quakers remain undefeated after their last doubleheader of the season, rolling over Villanova, 6-1, and then outlasting Delaware, 4-3.

Missing from the M. Tennis roster are last year’s top player and one of this year’s captains. But when the Quakers open their season tomorrow at Levy Pavilion with a doubleheader against Drexel and Bucknell, they’ll still be playing with a target on their backs.
