As many of you already know, Fall Restaurant Week arrived in full force on Sunday. Over 100 restaurants in Philadelphia, including some of the city's hottest and most expensive establishments, have put out $35 fixed-price, multi-course dinner menus. Although I definitely wouldn't call myself a "foodie"- it's hard to eat foie gras and veal when you're a vegetarian - I do enjoy partaking in dining options a step up from 1920 Commons.

With volunteers passing out voter-registration forms at every corner, it is hard to imagine a Penn student being unable to register. But for the underclassmen who won't celebrate their 18th birthdays until after Nov. 4, the phrase "four more years" has taken on a new meaning.

The Scandinavian population at Penn isn't huge. Nor is there overwhelming Polish or Vietnamese representation in the Penn student body. Even so, these are just a few of the growing number of heritages at the forefront of student clubs on campus. Such denominations can be a significant part of students' lives and one that many choose to explore or celebrate within a club structure.

With the new proposed location for the Foxwoods Casino, city officials might have just hit the jackpot. Foxwoods and government officials recently announced that the casino group would consider building its multi-million dollar venue in the Gallery Mall near 9th and Market streets, instead of on the Delaware River.
