HARTFORD, Conn. — Following yesterday's tragic loss that knocked Penn out of Potter Cup contention, the Quakers had one last match Sunday to try to salvage a consolation in the third-place game against Yale. But after nearly four hours of play inside the Kellner Squash Center, Penn suffered another heartbreaking 5-4 defeat.
HARTFORD, CONN. — Just under a month ago, Penn men's squash defeated Trinity College 7-2 at the Penn Squash Center. But, on Saturday, the Bantams had their chance for revenge and took it, stunning the Quakers in an emotional yet exhilaratingly close 5-4 loss.
Last season, Penn men's lacrosse's first game was a two-goal loss against Georgetown at Franklin Field. This season, the tables were turned as it was the Quakers going into the Hoyas' house and emerging with a two-goal victory.

Entering last season's NCAA Tournament, expectations were sky high for Penn men's lacrosse. The team was coming off an Ivy League title with five wins against top 10 programs in the regular season, and defeats of No.1 Brown and No. 3 Yale in the conference tournament. The Quakers were seeded third, only behind Maryland and Georgetown.

For most people, the end of December is a time for new beginnings. But for Penn men’s basketball, a Saturday afternoon bout at the end of January marked what the team hopes will be a turning point.
Penn men's basketball will arrive at the Palestra on Saturday with what may prove to be the turning point of their season ahead of them. The Quakers currently stand at 2-4, and have not won a game in conference play since Jan. 7. Even though they currently stand seventh in the Ivy League table, there is a four-way logjam ahead of them at 3-3. A win would put Penn in striking distance of the all-important top four, while a loss would drop the Quakers to 2-5 in-conference and make the second half of the Ivy season that much more difficult.
So far, Penn men’s basketball’s season has been underwhelming. There, I said it.
