Three former Penn athletes reflect on transferring for their final years of athletic eligibility

Thanks to an Ivy League rule preventing student athletes from using graduate eligibility to play a fifth year of their respective sport — something many have taken advantage of across the country with the NCAA granting an additional year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic — Penn athletes must look elsewhere to finish out their collegiate careers.  







Three members of Penn women’s basketball take home All-Ivy awards

Before heading into Ivy Madness after clinching the fourth seed with a 69-67 win over Harvard, three Penn women’s basketball players received All-Ivy awards for their performances this season. Freshman guard Mataya Gayle was named Rookie of the Year, while senior forward Jordan Obi was named to the First Team All-Ivy squad and junior guard Stina Almqvist secured a spot on the Second Team All-Ivy.
