Dining hall workers have ended their strike at Harvard University after nearly a month of protesting, according to a report in the Washington Post. Workers voted in favor of a five-year contract on Wednesday, Oct. 26, marking the end of the first strike at the University in 33 years.

An event staff security officerat Brown University allegedly harassed multiple students at a party hosted by Brown's Organization of Multiracial and Biracial Students (BOMBS) and Harambee House, The Brown Daily Herald reported. Two days after the Oct. 14 incident, BOMBS released a statement on their Facebook page condemning the behavior of this officer and stating that the organization will be filing an official complaint.

On October 14, 11 people were arrested for blocking traffic during a protest of the labor negotiations between Harvard and its dining services workers. According to the Harvard Crimson, the protesters were sitting on the intersection of JFK Street and Massachusetts Avenue as over 100 other people chanted with signs in support of the workers' union.
