Since deleting the Facebook app on my phone — something I suggest all of you do as well because it will add literally hours to your battery life — I rarely get the pleasure, well displeasure, of scrolling through my Facebook feed. In the rare occasions in which I do scroll through the feed, I have increasingly found a number of links to an online publication called “Odyssey.” In recent weeks, links from this website have literally overwhelmed my feed.

A little over two weeks ago, the mayor of my hometown of Williamsport, Pa., announced over Twitter that he would become the first mayor of a Pennsylvania town to publicly endorse Donald Trump for president. This announcement led to mixed results from the overwhelmingly Republican city, with a surprisingly large number of people attacking the mayor over this announcement.

I go to Penn, so obviously I am freaking out about what I am going to do this summer. It is already mid-March and I do not have clear plans for June, so obviously I am already behind where I am supposed to be. I have applied to several internships and jobs, carefully tweaking and perfecting my embarrassingly short resume weekly to make myself look as hireable as possible.

On Friday night I would have told you that this has been a bizarre election cycle. I would have told you that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump would win their respective primaries. I would have told you that Donald Trump would go on to defeat Hillary Clinton in the general election.

It might be surprising to hear, but I actually read The Daily Pennsylvanian, specifically the opinion section. Since I mostly read when I am bored in class, I read the articles online.

Currently my body is ink-free, but I soon plan on changing that. I want a tattoo and have promised three different friends that I would get a tattoo with them in the next few months. Statistically, at least one of them won’t chicken out, so it’s very likely that within the next few months my ink virginity will be taken from me.
