I won’t lie and say that I’ve been a Philadelphia sports fan my entire life. My friends essentially forced me into following them, as they’re some of the most devout fans you could imagine. But despite growing up in the Wilkes-Barre area, which is home to the New York Yankees’ minor league team, as well as my family originally being from New York, I’ve come to love and appreciate Philly sports, especially since moving here. 




Penn football's running backs take on new roles this season

With the season more than halfway done, it's clear that Penn football has had to make some major adjustments from last season, particularly concerning the team's running back room. Following the departure of the program's leading rusher last year Trey Flowers, who was a first-team All-Ivy selection in 2022, there was a gap in production that needed to be filled by the Quakers' (5-2, 2-2 Ivy) backs, and changes in scheme that would have to be considered.

Penn undergraduates are all too familiar with on-campus housing. With the housing requirement that was implemented a few years ago, undergraduates are required to live on campus for their first four semesters. This can range from first-year-only housing to upperclassmen dorms to four-year communities, with each of the 12 undergraduate College Houses featuring their own styles of rooms.

After not seeing the field his freshman year, sophomore wide receiver Alex Haight has strung together some nice performances for the Quakers so far this season, racking up 16 catches for 156 yards and a touchdown.
