Former Vice President Mike Pence has said that former President Donald Trump “[put] himself over the Constitution.” General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under the Trump administration, has said that the former president is “fascist to his core” and “the most dangerous person to this country.” General John Kelly, once Trump’s White House Chief of Staff, has said that the former president is “the most flawed person” he’s ever known and has dictatorial tendencies. General James Mattis, one of Trump’s Secretaries of Defense, said that Trump “[makes] a mockery of our Constitution.” Mark Esper, another Secretary of Defense under Trump, said that the former president is “irresponsible” and has fascist “inclinations.”

Now officially halfway through its Ivy League season, Penn (1-7-5, 0-2-2 Ivy) women's soccer achieved its second in-conference shutout after a 0-0 matchup against Brown (5-3-4, 2-1-1). Though no goals were scored, the Quakers led Brown in shots at 6-5.

In a midweek home match, No. 18 Penn (8-1-1, 2-0 Ivy) defeated No. 21 Hofstra (8-3-1) 3-1 in dramatic fashion, with goals scored by senior defender Leo Burney, senior forward Stas Korzeniowski, and sophomore midfielder Jack-Ryan Jeremeiah. With the victory, the Red and Blue's record at Rhodes Field remains unblemished.

After hearing sirens outside on Sept. 19, I watched from my window as several police officers chased a man up the steps of the Radian. It was not until minutes later that I received the infamous “shots fired” alert from the Division of Public Safety, so in the meantime, I looked to the only logical source for information: Sidechat. On the anonymous messaging platform, students posted videos and descriptions of the incident from their own perspective, which involved the arrests of two men on Penn’s campus.

The odds were stacked against Penn volleyball on Friday night. A 15-match losing streak against Princeton predicted another loss, and the Tigers, in the midst of their own seven-game losing streak this season, were desperate for a win in the Ivy opener. But ultimately, it was Penn that triumphed, breaking through the net and rewriting history.

Despite being located just 20 miles apart, Penn and Villanova haven't competed against each other in men's soccer for several years. That all changed on Tuesday evening, when the Quakers traveled to the Main Line to face the Wildcats at Campolo Field. After an exciting opening 30 minutes, both teams’ defenses locked in to secure a 2-2 draw.
