To cap off a day of service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., residents of W.E.B. Du Bois College House and members of the community at large precessed in silence from Du Bois to the compass, where they held a candlelight vigil organized by the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. Following the lighting of the candles, the congregation sang "Lift Every Voice and Sing," held a prayer, and returned to Du Bois, where commemorations continued until 10 p.m. (Photos by Julio Sosa and Lulu Wang)
