Hello all, My name is Jacob Henner, I am a sophomore studying computer science, and I am running to be an Engineering Representative on the Undergraduate Assembly. I truly believe that Penn's UA has the ability to influence great change at the University, and support much needed reform. However, I do not believe the UA has applied these abilities for quite some time. As a representative, my top priority would be increasing the efficacy of the UA. Students deserve quality advocacy of their best interests, advocacy which an ineffective student government cannot provide. If elected, I intend to work towards simplifying the processes surrounding interdisciplinary studies, promoting the transparency of SAC, initiating the creation of a student advocacy office, and increasing the resources available to student-run health organizations. I appreciate your support, and I look forward to having the opportunity to enhance student life here at Penn.
