The Quakers hope to carry their strong showing from Penn Relays into the Outdoor Heptagonals at Yale in New Haven, Conn., May 10 and 11.

Cornell is the defending champion and is also the favorite heading into the weekend. However, the rest of the competition is creeping up on the Big Red: They came in third at the Indoor Heptagonals to Brown and Princeton, snapping their streak of six consecutive Indoor Heps titles.

Senior Jesse Carlin hopes to continue her stellar season. She was part of the Distance Medley Relay team that set an Ivy League record at the Penn Relays last week, and was also an All-American in the 800-meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships earlier in the year.

Carlin was the lone Ivy track All-American from the indoor season.

She'll likely be joined in the 4x800m and DMR by teammates Anna Aagenes, Shaunee Morgan, Claire Kim and Stacy Kim, all of whom have had strong seasons as well.

On the men's side, senior Tim Kaijala has also been a standout performer. Most recently, at the Relays, he ran an anchor lap in the 4x800m that brought the Quakers from eighth to sixth.

Moreover, he hopes to repeat as Ivy champion in the 800m. Last week, after the Relays, he said that to close out his career with another Ivy crown would be "a great finish."
