Second teen arrested in Drexel robberies

A second teenager from a group thought to be responsible for at least six robberies of Drexel students was arrested this past weekend, police officals said.

The 16-year-old male was arrested at his home Friday night after victims positively identified him, Philadelphia Police Lt. John Walker said.

Police have alleged that the teen, along with a 17-year-old male who was arrested last week, committed at least six of the 11 robberies that occurred just north of Drexel's campus throughout October.

Walker said there is also a warrant out for a third suspect, 15, who is not yet in custody.

The names of the juveniles were not released because of their ages.

A homeless man, Bernard Johnson, 48, was also arrested earlier this month in connection with the four other robberies. He is still in custody.
