- Feb. 18 -- Duvall Williams, 35, of West Philadelphia was arrested at around 11:15 a.m. at 39th and Chestnut streets. Police say he attempted to steal from the 7-Eleven convenience store down the block. He was charged with robbery, theft and simple assault. - Feb. 16 -- Philadelphia resident Askia Muhammad, 29, was arrested at around 11:20 p.m. at 44th and Chestnut streets after police say he ran a red light. Upon stopping him, Penn Police officers say they found a small bag containing crack and cocaine and another small bag of marijuana on his person. He is charged with possessing narcotics and received a traffic citation. - Feb. 15 -- Police say Stephen Lazauskas, 25, was attempting to leave the Fresh Grocer with $104 worth of baby formula at about 2:30 p.m. when he was caught by a security guard. He was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. - Feb. 14 -- At about 7:30 p.m., two female Penn students reported that a man was harassing them by making unwanted phone calls and sending then e-mails from within College Hall. South Philadelphia resident Ahmad Bashi, 29, who holds an expired PennCard and isn't currently affiliated with the University, was arrested and charged with defiant trespass, harassment, harassment by communication and two counts of stalking. - Feb. 14 -- A woman reported that her wallet was taken after she put it on the back of her seat at Starbucks, located on 3401 Walnut St. Her white sapphire and engagement rings were also missing. The items and wallet were worth a total of about $850. The incident happened between about 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. - Feb. 14 -- When a 35-year-old medic responded to a call for assistance at 40th and Walnut streets at about 5:50 a.m., the caller shut the vehicle door on the medic's leg and refused to let it go, police say. Officers arrested West Philadelphia resident Nicholas Casdia, 48, and charged him with simple and aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person. - Feb. 13 -- West Philadelphia resident David Kennedy, 41, was charged with robbery, theft and receiving stolen property after police say he removed a navy blue sweatshirt worth $46 from the American Apparel store located on the 3700 block of Walnut Street.
