Penn's unbeaten Ivy streak came to a halt in Providence, R.I., as Brown bested the Quakers, 85-75.
The Bears (12-10, 5-4 Ivy) took a 31-24 lead into the intermission, and stayed in front of the Quakers to notch a split in the season series. Brown fell, 73-63, three weeks ago at the Palestra.
Despite the loss, the Red and Blue remain atop the Ivy leaderboard, a game ahead of Dartmouth in the loss column.
Penn (13-8, 7-1) travels to New Haven, Conn., to face Yale at 7 p.m. The Elis picked up their second win of the Ivy campaign in overtime at Princeton, 59-56.
