The Penn men's baskteball team won its second Big Five game in four days, beating Villanova 72-58 in front of 12,052 spectators at the First Union center. Following a disappointing 1-2 start that included losses to Drexel and Delaware, the Quakers (3-2, 2-0 Big Five) seem to be back on track as the win over the Wildcats coming on the heels of a 25 point thrashing of Temple. Hot shooting from behind the arc was key for the Quakers, as they shot 11-for-22 from three point range. Junior guard Jeff Schiffner was 5-for-7 from downtown, scoring 19 points. Senior forward Ugonna Onyekwe led the Quakers with 22 points and nine rebounds. Also critical to the win was Penn's ability to control Villanova power forward Ricky Wright, who had 15 points and eight rebounds, but only nine shot attempts due to frequent double teams. In the losses to Drexel and Delaware the Quakers struggled against physical inside presences like Wright.
