Attempted Robbery

Nov. 29 -- A man unaffiliated with the University reported that two males approached him from behind and grabbed him by the arm, one of them simulating that he had a gun, on the 200 block of South 43rd St. at 12:10 a.m. After a brief struggle, the two men fled north on 43rd Street. University police apprehended the two males on the 100 block of 44th Street.

Burglary

Nov. 27 -- A male Presbyterian Hospital employee reported that computers, valued together at $3,200, were taken from a secure room in the hospital, located at 51 N. 39th Street sometime between Nov. 26 and Nov. 27.

Theft

Dec. 2 -- The University reported that projector equipment, valued at $5,000, was taken from Bennett Hall, located at 3340 Walnut Street, sometime between midnight and 4 p.m.

Dec. 1 -- A female whose affiliation with the University is unknown reported that her vehicle, parked at 3721 Chestnut Street, was taken at 12:30 a.m. A loaded handgun was inside the vehicle when it was reportedly taken.

Nov. 27 -- A man unaffiliated with the University reported that his briefcase, laptop computer, cell phone, electronic telephone book, PennCard and glasses, valued together at $3,175, were taken from Houston Hall, located at 3417 Spruce Street sometime between 4:30 and 5 p.m.

Nov. 27 -- A man unaffiliated with the University reported that his car was broken into and his CD player and radio, valued together at $300, were taken on Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. The car was parked in a parking garage, located at 119 S. 38th St.

Nov. 26 -- A female University employee reported that her bookbag, which contained her social security card and credit card, was taken from 3535 Market Street sometime between 8:30 and 10 a.m.

Nov. 26 -- A male University student reported that his laptop computer, glasses, library books and credit card, valued together at $3,500, were taken from Meyerson Hall, located at 210 S. 34th Street sometime between 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 25 and midnight on Nov. 26.

Nov. 25 -- A female University student reported that her wallet, PennCard and cash were taken from her purse from the Law School, located at 3443 Sansom Street sometime between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Nov. 25 -- A man whose affiliation with the University is unknown reported that two laptop computers, valued together at $4,473, were taken from 3701 Market Street sometime between Nov. 22 and Nov. 25.
