After three tough losses last weekend, the Penn women's squash team looks to get back on track this weekend at the Amherst Invitational.
The Quakers are facing off against two schools in the Invitational -- Williams and Dartmouth. Last year, Penn upended the Big Green, 7-2 on Feb. 11.
The Quakers finished with an 0-4 record in last weekend's action. After falling, 9-0, to Trinity, the Quakers dropped three consecutive 5-4 decisions to Amherst, Bates and Cornell.
"I don't think there was any one reason we went 0-4 on the weekend," senior captain Alex Black said. "Three of our losses came down to the last game... they were all really close matches."
Black, who won two of her matches at the Williams Invitational -- against Amherst and Cornell -- said that the Quakers will not be doing anything differently for this weekend's matches.
"We're just going to try our hardest," Black said. "There's not anything we need to do differently... also, our lineup was still not full."
Penn should be able to fix its lineup problems this weekend.
Sophomore Dafna Wegner, who has missed the entire season due to injury, is expected to finally return make her return in Amherst.
Last season, the Israeli native Wegner went 5-5 in competition, including 4-2 in Ivy play.
Freshman Hanna Yoon will also be back after being sidelined due to illness for the Williams Invitational.
"The team will have a lot more depth with everyone back from injury and from being abroad," Penn sophomore Quincy Riley, who missed half of last weekend after injuring her wrist in the match against Amherst, said.
"With everyone back, the team is very solid. It should be very good."
