After last night's trampling of Florida International, the Penn men's basketball team completed its non-league schedule. Although the Quakers have posted the most impressive non-conference wins of any team in the Ivy League -- Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Villanova and Temple among them -- their league rivals have pulled off some major upsets, as well. Here's a look at how the rest of the Ancient Eight is doing so far this season.
Brown Bears
Record: 9-4
Biggest Win: at Providence, 67-60
The Bears have posted nine non-conference wins so far this season, the highest total in team history. Brown is led by junior forward Earl Hunt, who is averaging 22.3 points a game. Hunt scored 35 in the Bears' 95-83 victory over Navy on Jan. 5.
As a team, the Bears are a well-oiled offensive machine. They have eclipsed 90 points six times already this season and were averaging 82.3 points per game before last night's 99-67 victory over Coast Guard last night.
Columbia Lions
Record: 7-6
Biggest Win: vs. Navy, 74-72 (OT)
Columbia began the season 6-2 against weaker opposition before dropping four of five against higher-caliber opponents. The Lions faltered during a road trip in which they logged 11,000 miles.
The Lions have some offensive forces, as well. Senior guard Treg Duerksen leads the Ivies in three pointers per game, with 2.92. Fellow senior Craig Austin is having another strong season, averaging 17.5 points per game.
Cornell Big Red
Record: 3-10
Biggest Win: vs. Army, 90-65
Cornell has been struggling so far this season, but the Big Red pulled off a shocker runaway victory at Army on Jan. 5. The Cadets, who have a win against Brown in overtime, led 9-2 early but were outscored 42-10 the rest of the half to trail, 44-19, at the break.
The Big Red are on pace to break the team record for three pointers with an average of 7.6 made per game.
Dartmouth Big Green
Record: 6-7
Biggest Win: vs. Holy Cross, 58-47
The Big Green have already played two Ivy contests so far this season, dropping a pair of games to Harvard by an average of 24 points.
Although Dartmouth's play has been marked by inconsistency this year, senior point guard Flinder Boyd has been a bright spot, breaking the school record for career assists earlier in the year.
Harvard Crimson
Record: 9-5
Biggest Win: vs. Coppin State, 55-51 (OT)
The Crimson are the only other Ivy team to play a conference game so far this season, dominating the Big Green in both matchups.
Senior Andrew Gellert also took home a record in the latest win over Dartmouth -- he recorded five steals to set the Harvard school record.
Princeton Tigers
Record: 4-7
Biggest Win: vs. Holy Cross, 52-50
Penn's perennial rival is struggling so far this season. The Tigers have been terribly inconsistent, and despite facing some top competition, have not lived up to their preseason Ivy No. 1.
However, the Tigers have an RPI of 22 and are at the same 4-7 as they were heading into last year's Ivy Championship season. Senior guard Mike Bechtold is the leading scorer at 10.2 points per game.
Yale Elis
Record: 8-6
Biggest Win: at Clemson, 68-65
The Elis, who had not been over .500 entering Ivy play since 1991-92 season, have recorded wins over Penn State, Rhode Island and Clemson so far this year.
The Elis are 4-0 at home so far this year entering Ivy play and are 3-1 overall against major conferences.
