Sea Monster Masquerade

New Jersey State Aquarium

1 Riverside Drive

Camden, N.J.

(856) 365-3300

As if it wasn't freaky enough to jump in the water with a bunch of carnivorous sharks, try throwing on a mask and bringing a pitchfork along and you'll have some idea of what's going down in the lovely city of Camden in preparation for All Hallow's Eve. Unfortunately you won't get to taunt the blood-hungry beasts yourself, but at least you might get the chance to witness an attack first hand instead of watching some robotic piece of plastic chew through fake boats and spew ketchup from its mouth in the Spielbergian variety. But in the end, just think... would you kill the birds for singing? Would you shoot the children for laughing? He's a shark, it's his nature!

My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult

Trocadero

1003 Arch Street

8 p.m., $16 advance, $18 door

(215) 922-LIVE

When I was released from the Thrill Kill Kult, I realized that not only are kults bad, but that I could profit from them too! We could start a band that has absolutely no appeal to any music sector whatsoever and rock till we drop! Claiming to be revolutionaries in kult-like music, these morons are to music what B-movies are to cinema. Bad cheese.

Gods and Monsters

Christian Association

118 S. 37th Street

7 p.m., free

(215) 746-6350

It's too bad that Brendan Fraser likes acting in monkey movies, 'cause the guy can really act. Gods and Monsters is the biographical tale of famed horror film director James Whale (played by the godlike Ian McKellan) and his openly gay lifestyle. Fraser's turn as Whale's gardener and obsession is one that will make you forgive him for films like Monkeybone, Dudley Do-Right, and maybe even The Mummy.
