After a Princeton three-pointer opened the scoring, Penn went on a 29-0 run and led 33-9 at halftime. In the second half, however, the Tigers exploded, as Mason Rocca scored all 13 of his points after the intermission to lead the Orange and Black on a 28-9 run and a 50-49 victory. Matt Langel missed a potential game-winning runner for the Red and Blue. ·March 3, 1998 -- at the Palestra -- Princeton 78, Penn 72 (OT) Ranked eighth in the nation, Princeton had breezed through the Ivy League season, not having lost any league games in Bill Carmody's tenure as head coach. During the second half, a Princeton student threw a firecracker inside the Palestra, injuring 11 people. Then, the Tigers almost saw the efforts of their undefeated Ivy season blow up in their faces. After Princeton's James Mastaglio missed a free throw, Michael Jordan missed a game-winning three-point attempt. The Quakers ran out of steam in overtime and fell to their bitter rivals. ·March 9, 1996 -- at Stabler Arena -- Princeton 63, Penn 56 (OT) Penn beat Princeton twice during the regular season, but a one-point loss at Dartmouth and a two-point loss at Yale forced a playoff game to be played at Lehigh. The Quakers trailed throughout the game, never leading until Cedric Laster's free throw gave the Red and Blue a 52-51 lead with 4:02 remaining in overtime. But Princeton went on a 12-4 run to close overtime and give Pete Carril the victory in his final Ivy League game as Princeton's head coach. -- Jesse Spector
