Ivy Game Roundup

HANOVER, N.H. -- Brian Mann and Reggie Belhomme ran for touchdowns while Dartmouth's defense produced another and seven sacks Saturday as the Big Green posted a 20-17 comeback victory over Cornell, ending the longest losing streak in school history. Cornell's Joe Splendorio caught two touchdowns but the visiting Big Red (4-2, 3-1), which led 10-6 at the half, failed to hold on. BOSTON -- Quarterback Brad Wilford ran into the end zone from the one-yard line with two seconds left to carry Harvard over Princeton 13-6 Saturday afternoon. The Tigers (2-4, 0-3) had tied it at 6-6 when Taylor Northrup kicked a 52-yard field goal with 3:34 remaining. It was the longest field goal for Princeton in 34 years and just shy of the school record of 54 yards. But Northrup turned from hero to goat on the ensuing kickoff as he slipped and fell while kicking off and Harvard (4-2, 2-1) took over on their 42. Wilford then directed an eight-play drive for the winning points. Chris Menick had 27 carries for 165 yards for the Crimson while Wilford completed 11-of-24 passes for 101 yards. Princeton's leading rusher, Derek Theisen, did not play due to an unspecified violation of NCAA eligibility rules. NEW YORK -- Yale built a 31-point lead behind the passing of Joe Walland and the running of Rashad Bartholomew, then withstood a late Columbia rally for a 41-29 victory Saturday. Walland ran three yards for a first-quarter touchdown and passed 31 yards to Jake Fuller in the second quarter. Bartholomew gained 131 yards on 28 carries, including touchdown runs of two yards in the second quarter and 20 yards in the third quarter. Mike Murawczyk kicked his second field goal, a 19-yarder, with 37 seconds left in the third quarter to give the Elis (5-1, 2-1) a 41-10 lead. Sophomore quarterback Jeff McCall, who started the second half, sparked the Lions' second-half surge by completing 12-of-21 passes for 162 yards and two scores. McCall threw TD passes of 33 yards to Justin Meadlin and 19 yards to Armand Dawkins in the fourth quarter, and Johnathan Reese added a one-yard TD run in the final period for the Lions (2-4, 0-3).
