Events prove there's 'No Place Like Penn' The extended weekend of non-alcoholic events was organized by the Office of Student Life and sponsored by the Tangible Change Committee, the Social Planning and Events Committee, Connaissance and the Undergraduate Assembly. "It was well-attended; it looked like people were having a good time," said Tangible Change Committee Co-Chairperson Theo LeCompte, an Engineering junior. Today will feature an Activities Day on Locust Walk, with representatives from a number of student organizations offering information to interested students. Also, the Senior Class Board will be sponsoring a seniors-only Hey Day Again Picnic on Hill Field. And tonight, Senior Class President Lisa Marshall joins The Daily Show comedian Lewis Black, Philadelphia 76ers owner Pat Croce and Philadelphia Daily News columnist Elmer Smith for the sold-out Penn Politically Incorrect, hosted by comedian Bill Maher in Irvine Auditorium. Other events this weekend include a volleyball tournament in Hutchinson Gymnasium, a "Grill 'n Chill" on College Green that afternoon before the Penn-Villanova football game and a block party Saturday night on 36th Street between Sansom and Walnut streets. On Sunday, the Junior Class Board and New Student Orientation is sponsoring a trip to the Philadelphia Phillies game against the New York Mets baseball game at Veterans Stadium. The "No Place Like Penn" festivities will wrap up Sunday evening with a performance by hypnotist Tom DeLuca at the Zellerbach Theatre, sponsored by the Sophomore Class Board. -- Karlene Hanko
