UA member and College sophomore Hillary Aisenstein said she spearheaded the successful drive to maintain the trailer because she believed its closing would be extremely inconvenient for Quad residents. Had the trailer been closed, its services would have been transferred to the High Rise South package room. Without the trailer, Quad residents would have had to walk to High Rise South to pick up their packages and bring them back to the Quad -- something Aisenstein considered inconvenient. Aisenstein contacted Associate Vice Provost for University Life Larry Moneta upon finding out about plans to close the trailer. The two worked together to determine the trailer could stay. "This shows the administration that students care about how our money is spent," Aisenstein said. "Although many services will have to be cut in order to save money, necessities like mail service should not be one of them." – Shannon Burke
