Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs Director Scott Reikofski said the details of the settlement will be released Monday afternoon when the document is signed. He did confirm that Sigma Chi will remain at the University. "I think it's really fair for the chapter to find out what's going on and have a chance to be educated on that before we pass everything else out," Reikofski said. The agreement must be signed by the chapter's president, vice president and advisor, and the executive director of the Sigma Chi international fraternity, according to advisory board member Mark Fox. Sigma Chi brothers had not been made aware of either the acceptance or the proposal's terms as of 7:45 last night, Fox said. He added that they were to be informed of the situation and conditions by this morning. Sigma Chi President Keith Robinson was not available for comment. The settlement, which Reikofski and Fox co-wrote, had been revised between eight and 10 times since its February release, Fox explained. "Overall, I'm pleased with the process -- we've worked very hard for it," he said. Fox said he believes the agreement is "moderately" fair. On January 23, Wharton freshman and Quaker basketball player Jed Ryan was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by several Sigma Chi brothers. Sources reveal that Ryan suffered from alcohol poisoning. But details of the incidents leading up to Ryan's hospitalization have not yet been disclosed. Early in February, the IFC's Judicial Inquiry Board handed Sigma Chi a $1,000 fine and put the fraternity on social probation until April 23 -- three months after Ryan's hospitalization. – Barbara Green Students volunteer at Clinton fund raiser University students will volunteer at the Democratic National Committee's fund-raiser at the Franklin Institute this evening.
