The state's case against Marketing Professor Scott Ward -- who was arrested last fall on charges of soliciting sex from minors for money -- will not go to trial until "pre-trial jurisdiction" is resolved, Montgomery County District Attorney Chris Maloney said this week. Maloney also said he anticipates further delays because the case's high visibility in the media will make selecting a jury difficult. Because of these issues, it would be "impossible" to say when the actual trial will begin, he said. Ward was first arrested on October 1, 1993, following a six-week sting operation into alleged prostitution and pedophiliac activities. He was arrested after he allegedly offered money to an undercover state trooper posing as a 15-year-old boy. Ward faces 11 counts of criminal attempts to commit corruption of a minor, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, and prostitution. He has pleaded innocent to all charges. Ward refused to comment on the case. -- Jorie Green
