There will always be a student government. And there will always be a student newspaper to criticize it. But UA Chairperson Mitch Winston and his motley crew of representatives are making it much too easy this semester. So we promise not to write any more derogatory editorials on the UA until they do something really stupid. We'll leave them with one last barb. Why has the UA let the MIA status of one of its representatives consume two entire meetings, which could have produced some perfectly legitimate meaningless resolutions? Why did they call said UA-MIA in Europe to find out if he cares whether or not they kick him out of the assembly? Why may they have to spend $500 to hold a special election to fill his seat? One last question. Why do they bother to dress up in suit and ties for the meetings? Why ask why? It's the UA.
