CNBAM annually awards college newspapers for excellence in newspaper business operations, including advertising and production. The DP, which competed against 60 other college newspapers at the five-day conference, also received first place awards for best Office Administration Package, Marketing Package, Local Color Display Ad, Rate Card and In-House Advertising Campaign. The newspaper won second place for Best Training Manual. Mike Gaviser, the DP's business manager, said the newspaper entered a total of twelve categories. "It's absolutely incredible," Gaviser said.
