The meeting was moved due to conflicting schedules with many of the members. During the annual "transitional meeting," new UA members elect their steering committee, including chairperson, vice-chairperson, treasurer, secretary and two nominees for University Council steering representative. It typically runs for over four hours, and many student leaders had predicted a competitive race for the positions this year.
