The program, "Re-visioning American History: Diversity and the Curriculum," will address the changing of curricula to reflect the increasing numbers of racial minorities in the American population. Takaki, the author of several books on historical American ethnic conflicts, is currently consulting with Bryn Mawr College on possible curriculum changes there. Takaki will be on campus for two days and meet on Wednesday with a group of University professors and graduate students to discuss potential changes to the University's undergraduate curriculum. The lecture is being sponsored by the Greenfield Intercultural Center and is part of the Black History Month celebration. In addition, several campus organizations and academic departments are co-sponsoring the event. -- Alex Dunne
