Two resolutions concerning the Persian Gulf crisis passed, as did a third dealing with Escort Service and safety services. The first resolution on the Gulf was similar to a resolution passed by the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly last Thursday, expressing concern for the events in the Gulf and calling for a peaceful end to the war. The second, proposed by GSAC officer Elizabeth Hunt, urged the University to take a public stance for peace and initiate a draft counseling program. The other resolution, passed unanimously during the 30-member gathering, was a plan to coordinate services such as Escort and the Penn Bus offered by the Department of Transportation and Parking. GSAC meetings will be held at noon on alternate Tuesdays this semester in the Benjamin Franklin Room in Houston Hall. -- Jodi Bromberg
