It feels like one of those days...where we just give up and go to bed. These midterms are killing us not so softly, and what better way to cut your losses than by picking next semester's classes midterms! Pictured here are students at advance registration, and we're feeling as worn out as this chica looks. Hang in there, times may seem thorny, but just thank the rose who deemed paper ballots as passé as those hairstyles.

Penn applicants get by with a little help from...their predecessors? Cue the unanimous "is this kid for real?" No offense, sycophantic young grasshopper. Penn students can edit and we are definitely chill, but we have enough work as is, dude. Sick job with the SAT vocab, though! And for those offering to help, beware of this.

Penn's "Year of Sound" just got a lot louder, and if your brain is at all functional, read on and act quickly! TEDxPenn's event, "Creating the Sound" is on Saturday, November 2nd. The point: registration closes tonight and it's something you won't want to miss.

Late Thursday night, we're feeling all right, but Friday morning we fret.
The hookup we had was admittedly bad, and we're trying our best to forget.
But when we wake, we think "milkshake!", to nurse this nasty hangover,
We head to Shake Shack for that walk of shame snack,
and hope at some point to be sober.

Sexy can I, er, book us a room in VP? From the looks of it, two (or more) Penn students had a rather productive and promiscuous morning! Happy hump day Room 404, enjoy that mid-morning delight (looking at you Gilded Age Group, 2 hours is plenty).

Free food outside of DRL from 1-3pm today, courtesy of Electric and Systems Engineering. Grab some grub and chat up some cuties, because recitation is over and it's the freakin' weekend. Eat, drink, and mock anyone still in class.

Thanks to Class Boards, SPEC Jazz & Grooves, A-Trak and Penguin Prison will make their Penn debuts September 21 on the College Green! Two EDM artists at one event? Not surprising. Quakers do love a good bass drop.

When it comes to classes (sorry to bring it up), we have all sat on Penn InTouch and thought about who we would sit next to, prayed to not have classes with our ex(es), and wondered whether our future spouse would take the 9am or 11am lecture.

A much-deserved mazel tov to Penn grad David Fine and his new food truck, Schmear It! UTB proudly presents Philly's first (and only) bagel truck, set to open mid-August at Love Park and 33rd and Arch.

If there's one thing Penn students can't get enough of, it's sleep Penn News Today emails coffee. And who better to help us out than one of our own, aka Penn grad and beloved HubBub owner, Drew Crockett.

First Don Memo and now Lee's? We are livid hungry heart-broken. After 28 majestic years, Lee's Hoagie House on 40th and Walnut is closing next Wednesday. Yea sure, Wawa and Jimmy John's are swell after 1 am, but it pains us to say sayonara to yet another long time member of Penn's local restaurant scene.

With students away, animals reign at the University of Pennsylvania. As if Lentil wasn't cute enough, meet Elvis - the boy kitten who lived. After a dangerous ingestion of some dastardly lilies, this year old kitten needed cat dialysis, which shockingly is a thing. Owner Paula Armstrong turned to Dr. JD Foster, one of the many miracle doctors at Penn Vet. The doctors then determined that Elvis needed a new kidney, and the search for a donor began.

We're dreaming of a white Christmas weeknight bootycall library that hasn't reached maximum occupancy this week. Despite Fisher's current lack of seats (bitter), we're glad the setup has changed significantly since 1900, when this photo was taken. Looks like a perfect place to cram for Intro to Claustrophobia or cry about that last BYO/mixer/shitshow you're missing. Don't fret honey child, you're evidently amongst friends, and there's always next year.

Nothing gets us wasted buzzed psyched more than a great happy hour deal! After plenty of research, we have struck gold. Let's face it, we're all desperate to save our dolla dolla billz and, as per usual, UTB has answered your prayers. Here are the 6 winners!

This just in, our in-high-demand Locust Flaikus were sabotaged today. We have eye-witness reports that Locust Walk suffered a new kind of infestation: ART VENDORS. Only one flyer survived the madness, so it looks like they win these Hunger Games.

Take part in Penn's protest against sexual assault and domestic abuse tomorrow at 6 pm on College Green. Join ASAP at Penn, One in Four, and other Quakers as they march across campus to raise sexual and relationship violence awareness. After the rally, the peaceful night concludes with a candlelight vigil and a survivor speak out led by Amy Richards, creator of the Third Wave Foundation and author of Manifesta.

Spring Fling is in the air and we are so freakin' excited! What better way to get psyched (or faded, if you will) than to check out a Quad throwback? Pictured are two Penn students strolling through the LQ courtyard on a beautiful day in 1947. Here's hoping for warm Fling weather like this, and maybe a worthwhile headliner? Sending out an SOF (save our Fling)! ... David Guetta, are you there? Anybody?

For all of you Mask and Wig groupies who are dreading the wig-less week ahead, do not fret, you're in luck! The Club is taking over the east coast, bringing their show, Beautopia: A Face Odyssey, to a major city near you. According to Secretary-Treasurer Harrison Lieberfarb C'13, "Every year, Mask and Wig writes its own show, which runs from January to April..this is what makes the show so unique- it runs for the semester, and it's an entirely student written, full-length comedic musical".
