A brawl broke out this afternoon at a SEPTA stop on the Broad Street Line.

Two Benjamin Franklin High School students were attacked by a group of people—-also presumed to be students—at Spring Garden Station, resulting in one student falling onto the tracks and another having his head stomped.

"What we have seen is a brutal violent attack that could that could have ended with a loss of life," School District spokesperson Fernando Gallard said.

Nobody involved, including those assaulted, reported the attack to authorities. The fight was found later on security cameras. The investigation is ongoing.
