2014 Wharton graduate Belinda Chen decided to pass up a lucrative offer from Amazon to work for the Chinese online retailer JD.com. 

Chen is among an increasing number of graduates being allured to China by its growing tech sector. "Chinese companies have 'created very innovative products...that truly altered my life," she said. JD. com, the company Chen works for, allows customers to order products from a range of brands and have them delivered the same day, making life easier for busy young professionals like herself. 

Moreover, the "hands-on" experience China's tech sector offers its workers is described by recruiters as "invaluable." Chen explains that executives and other members of senior management constantly serve as mentors. 

"I feel this kind of close interaction is very amazing, and I think it's unusual in any company," Chen said.
