According to an article written in The Atlantic, your college roommate can have a lasting effect on the habits you inherit during your time in school.
"In a 2012 study, University of Michigan health management professor Daniel Eisenberg found that as a randomly-assigned roommate became more anxious, the person living with them became more on-edge, too," the article states.
Additionally, it has been found that roommates have a strong influence on each other's drinking and dieting habits.
