A season and a half after his dismissal from the Penn head coaching position and two weeks after winning an NCAA ring, Glen Miller was named a full-time assistant coach for the national champion Connecticut Huskies.

Miller served as the director of basketball operations for the Huskies this season and is expected to replace Andre LaFleur, who will likely take the associate coaching position at Providence, the Journal Inquirer reports.

Miller worked on Calhoun’s coaching staff in the late 1980s when the distinguished coach first took over at Connecticut.

According to the Journal Inquirer, Miller “did an outstanding job, redefining the position” of director of basketball operations, acting as a liaison between the school and basketball program.

Miller was also reportedly considering a head coaching position at Colgate before Calhoun promoted him.

Note: This article has been updated from its original version to reflect that LaFleur is taking an associate coaching position at Providence, not the head coach.
