It turns out Ryan Pettinella will not play in the Big East any time soon.
After transferring from Penn to Cincinnati this summer, the 6-foot-9 inch forward has left the school after longtime Bearcats coach Bob Huggins was forced to resign, according to the Rochester, N.Y.,-based Web site rnews.com.
Pettinella has enrolled at Monroe Community College in Rochester., which is near his home in Pittsford, N.Y.
He is not currently on the Monroe basketball roster and his hoops future is currently up in the air.
He averaged 4.8 points and 3.0 rebounds last season as a sophomore for the Quakers.
