Sprint Football can't upend Navy
The sprint football team scored a touchdown as time expired in the first half to take a 7-6 lead, but from there it was all downhill against Navy.
The defending champion Midshipmen for 20 third-quarter points en route to a 26-7 victory in Annapolis, Md.
It was not a good day for quarterbacks. Navy's D.J. Green's stats weren't too gaudy, as he went 8-for-18 with an interception. Penn's Michael D'Angelo was 15-for-30 with two interceptions and one touchdown, while backup Todd Busler was 0-for-3, with another.
But D'Angelo did lead the Quakers downfield for some last-second heroics before the break. Penn got the ball on its 35 with 1:16 remaining, and on second-and-one, D'Angelo hit Michael Stack for a 20-yard gain. Two plays later, the pair connected again, this time for 44 yards and a trip into the endzone.
