Jeppesen yet to speak with Miller since leaving Bears

Glen Miller has not been in touch with former Brown guard Keenan Jeppesen since Jeppesen left Brown earlier this week, the coach said yesterday.

Miller coached Jeppesen for two years at Brown before coming to Penn. Jeppesen nearly followed his coach, but his application for transfer was not considered this summer.

Now Jeppesen is no longer on the Bears' roster and is reported to have left the school.

"He's a terrific kid and a good student," Miller said. "I don't know all the issues there, why he left. It's my hope that he stays in school, and it's my hope that he rejoins the team."

A second-team All-Ivy selection as a sophomore, Jeppesen was to be among the team leaders under new coach Craig Robinson. He left without announcing his intentions before the Quinnipiac game Sunday.

Miller said that his contact with Jeppesen had been sporadic.

"The process took its course, he didn't get in and we haven't talked much since," Miller said.
