Track: Calvo done, Jaworski on to semis

Freshman Kyle Calvo was two centimeters from advancing to the finals in the long jump at the NCAA National meet. Calvo finished 13th with a jump of 7.36-meters. The top 12 advanced to the final round.

Junior Courtney Jaworski advanced to the 800m semifinals by placing third in his prelim. Jaworski's time of 1:48.45 was faster than both his times at Regionals. Jaworski will compete in the semifinals today looking for a top three finish in his heat to automatically qualify for Saturday's final.

Chargers ink Milanese

Former Penn wide receiver and 2002 graduate Rob Milanese was signed last week by the San Diego Chargers to a two-year contract. The 25-year-old spent the spring playing for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League.

Milanese holds the Penn record for career receiving yards with 3,409.
