Courtney Jaworski of the Penn men's track and field team took home seventh place in the 800-meter event at the NCAA Championship in Sacramento, Calif. By qualifying for the national final, Jaworski became one of eight All-Americans in the event. After qualifying for the finals with a season's best time of 1:48.28, Jaworski shattered that mark and turned in the second best time in school history with a 1:46.70 in the finals. Jaworski missed becoming Penn's third 800 champion by a shade under two seconds as Dmitrijs Milkevics of Nebraska won the race in 1:44.74. The seventh place finish earned the Quakers two points in the men's team standings, while Harvard also had two and Dartmouth finished 19th in the nation with 14 points. Anyone who attended the 111th running of the Penn Relays would not be surprised to see that the Texas women and the Arkansas men, both Relays powers, were crowned national champions.
