The Princeton men's basketball team has certainly not met expectations in the Ivy League season. The Tigers were swept this weekend in New England by Dartmouth and Harvard, dropping to 1-3 in league play, and are tied with Yale in last place in the league. Friday night at Leede Arena, Dartmouth finished the game on an 18-1 run to stun the Tigers 50-42. The next night another late run did in the Orange and Black. Harvard used a 10-2 run late in the second half to turn a 48-44 deficit into a 54-50 lead en route to a 61-57 win at Lavietes Pavilion in Boston. This was the first time Princeton had been swept by Dartmouth and Harvard since the 1983-84 season. Penn meets Princeton for the first time this season Tuesday night at the Palestra, and the Quakers can take a four game lead over the preseason league favorite with a win.
