At 7 p.m. tomorrow night the Palestra will open its doors to 1,200 Penn students, faculty and alumni to watch Penn and Princeton battle for the Ivy League title on the big screen. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and tomorrow, Penn fans can pick up one free ticket per ID at the E. Craig Sweeten Alumni Center at 3533 Locust Walk. Trammell Crow, the company who manages all of Penn's facilities, put a 1,200 limit on the number of seats available to ensure the best quality picture and sound for viewing satisfaction. The size of the projection screen, however, was not immediately available, according to the Penn athletic communications office. "We started working on this last Monday when we realized that this game would probably mean the Ivy championship and who would go to the NCAA tournament," Associate Director of Alumni Relations Jen Wollman said. "We also realized that a lot of students would not be able to go to Princeton and we wanted to give them the opportunity to see it without paying." With Penn at 12-1 in the Ivy League and Princeton one game behind at 11-2, a Quakers win would send Penn to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1995. A Princeton win would result in a one-game playoff Friday night at Lehigh University's Stabler Arena at 8:00 p.m. Other sponsors -- beside Athletics and Alumni Relations -- for the special viewing include Trammell Crow, Campus Services, the Vice Provost for University Life, the Social Planning and Events Committee, the Undergraduate Assembly, Kite and Key, and Undergraduate Admissions. -- Emily Foote
