Small flood washes out classes in Wharton bldg. According to Wharton Facilities Director Peter Wieck, who visited the site hours after the flood, the water level was more than an inch, flooding the hallways, elevator shaft and four classrooms. "Water was running out of the entrance door," Wieck said, indicating that there was damage to both the building's interior and the technological equipment in the classrooms. Although morning classes were moved on Monday, those held later in the day did meet in the building. Late Monday afternoon, University officials temporarily vacated the facility so that University risk management staff could inspect the damage to the facility. Officials are currently working to repair the damaged equipment and resolve other structural problems this week, Wieck said. -- Eric Dash
